You're in a hearing.The firm stays reachable.
Voko answers during a hearing, a client meeting, or outside office hours. It qualifies a new enquiry without ever giving legal advice, and sends a written summary after every call.
Voko, 10:20
“Dubois Law, hello. I'm the firm's assistant. How can I help?”
Caller, 10:20
“Hi, I have a dispute with my employer and I'm looking for a lawyer.”
Voko, 10:21
“I'm noting your enquiry. Could I take your name and a number to call you back?”
Caller, 10:21
“Yes, Karim Nasser, 078 000 00 00.”
Voko, 10:22
New enquiry noted: employment dispute. Contact details recorded, summary sent to the firm.
The four calls that come in every day
Your front desk knows them by heart. Voko handles them when the line is busy or you're in a hearing.
Qualify a new enquiry
Voko notes the matter in a sentence, without asking any legal questions, and passes it to the firm without interrupting billable work.
Book a client meeting
Voko offers the free slots and confirms the appointment in writing to the caller.
Answer practical questions
Opening hours, address, what to bring to a first meeting. Only what you have written down.
Send a written summary
Who called, what they needed, what was agreed. Nothing to listen back to between matters.
These rules cannot be switched off
They are part of the base every Voko assistant is built on and are regenerated on every save, so editing the firm's own instructions cannot erase them.
The assistant never weighs in on a situation, a chance of success, or a course of action. It notes and passes on.
An appeal or limitation deadline is not something an assistant states on the phone. That is exactly the kind of mistake that costs a case.
The assistant never discusses the content of an existing matter. A call about an ongoing case is passed to the firm exactly as received.
If a caller asks whether they are speaking to a person, the answer is clear and immediate.
The firm's voicemail, and Voko
A caller who reaches voicemail during your hearing rarely calls back. They call the next firm.
Voicemail
- The caller hears a message and hangs up
- Nobody knows who called or why
- A potential new matter goes to a competitor
- Messages get replayed one by one between matters
Voko
- The caller has someone on the line
- The new enquiry is already qualified by the time you read the message
- Every call arrives written up
- The client meeting is confirmed without interrupting you
What firms ask before signing up
The questions that come up most often before a firm signs up.
Can the assistant give legal advice on the phone?
No, never. That is a rule in the base, not a setting to switch on. It notes the enquiry and passes it to the firm, which then responds.
What does it do if the call is about an ongoing matter?
It notes what is said and passes it to the firm without commenting on the matter or its content. It has no access to any file.
Does this replace my front desk?
No. Voko takes calls your front desk cannot: during a hearing, in a client meeting, in the evening and at weekends.
What happens to caller data?
You choose how long calls are kept and can delete everything from your account at any time.
Can it transfer a call to the firm?
Yes, to a number you choose, with the condition that triggers it. Without a condition it does not transfer.
Call it the way a prospective client would.
Two minutes is enough to know whether the tone fits your firm.
