At the salon

The four calls that come in every day

Your front desk knows them by heart. Voko handles them while your hands are busy.

Book an appointment

Voko offers the free slots, notes the service requested, and confirms the appointment in writing.

Manage a cancellation or reschedule

Voko moves the appointment and frees the slot, without you having to leave a client to answer.

Answer practical questions

Opening hours, address, base prices, products used. Only what you have written down.

Send a written summary

Who called, what they needed, what was agreed. Nothing to listen back to between clients.

The context

A salon runs with very few people

Switzerland counts thousands of hair and beauty salons, most of them very small, where the person with the scissors is also the one who picks up.

  • 16,600+

    hair salons recorded in Switzerland

  • 9/10

Swiss businesses have fewer than ten employees

  • 2/3

What it will never do

These rules cannot be switched off

They are part of the base every Voko assistant is built on and are regenerated on every save, so editing the salon's own instructions cannot erase them.

No hair or beauty advice

The assistant never recommends a colour, a treatment, or a product. It notes the request and passes it to you.

Never a made-up price for a bespoke service

A complex colour or a tailored treatment gets priced in the chair, not over the phone by an assistant.

No skin or hair diagnosis

The assistant never weighs in on the state of skin or hair described over the phone.

It says it is an automated assistant

If a client asks whether they are speaking to a person, the answer is clear and immediate.

The salon's voicemail, and Voko

A client who reaches voicemail during your appointment rarely calls back. They call the next salon.

Voicemail

  • The client hears a message and hangs up
  • A slot freed by a cancellation stays empty
  • Nobody knows who called or why
  • Messages get replayed one by one between clients

Voko

  • The client has someone on the line
  • The appointment is already noted by the time you read the message
  • Every call arrives written up
  • A freed slot can be offered again right away
Questions

What salons ask before signing up

The questions that come up most often before signing up.

Can the assistant recommend a colour or treatment?

No, never. That is a rule in the base, not a setting. It notes the request and passes it to the salon.

Can it quote the price of a bespoke service?

For a standard service listed in its knowledge base, yes. For one that depends on a diagnosis in the chair, it notes the request and passes it to you.

Does this replace my front desk?

No. Voko takes calls you cannot answer during an appointment: between clients, in the evening and at weekends.

What happens to client data?

You choose how long calls are kept and can delete everything from your account at any time.

Can it transfer a call to the salon?

Yes, to a number you choose, with the condition that triggers it. Without a condition it does not transfer.

Call it the way a client would.

Two minutes is enough to know whether the tone fits your salon.
